Does the Library subscribe to Open Evidence? How can I access OpenEvidence?

Answer

OpenEvidence is a generative AI-based tool for querying the medical literature. The extent of the content searched by OpenEvidence is unclear.

Users can sign up for a free personal account if they have a National Provider Identifier (NPI). There is currently no institutional license option to access OpenEvidence. Users cannot search OpenEvidence without an account.

Although OpenEvidence was launched with support from the Mayo Clinic Platform Accelerate program, it is not maintained, regulated, or controlled by Mayo Clinic.  If you are interested using generative AI tools for literature searching, the Library maintains a Guide with information on OpenEvidence and other tools.
