What does "embago" mean in the electornic journals list?
Answer
Some publishers limit access to their journals content via third-party platforms until a certain length of time has passed. They do this to encourage direct subscriptions. If a journal has a length of time listed in the "Embargo" column of the electronic journals A-Z list, this is how long from original publication date it will be before the content can be accessed via third party vendors. Relatively few of the journals we subscribe to have an embargo, and you can still order embargoed articles via our Document Delivery system.
If you have additional questions about journal embargoes, email the library.
